I am relatively new to the Pinnacle Midlands Health team but have worked in the Tairāwhiti health sector for nearly 10 years, initially working in roles within the DHB planning and funding team. I have a keen interest in systems/models of health care and addressing the current inequities in health outcomes in our communities. I really enjoy working with our great network of general practices in Tairāwhiti. I also lead our team of community services which includes primary mental health, cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, and falls prevention and respiratory clinical nurse specialist roles.

I have been with Pinnacle Midlands Health for five years with another five years' experience with Hauroa Taranaki PHO prior to the formation of the Midlands Health Network. Before my role in health I worked for 12 years with my husband as a business owner, while also volunteering within the disability sector of the community. I love the challenges this position brings and enjoy providing ongoing support to practices to promote and implement sustainability.

I am new to the Pinnacle whānau, but I have worked for the last decade in a range of roles within primary care, including programme development and contract management. Prior to moving to Taranaki I was working in an integrated role between specialist and primary care. I have an interest in quality improvement and systems that are fit-for-purpose. I am really looking forward to providing support to our practice teams and being part of the Pinnacle forward-thinking approach. I have moved to New Plymouth with my husband and three children, and while I have lived nearly all my life elsewhere, I was born here, and have a strong family connection to Urenui. It is great to be back home under the mountain.

I have worked for Pinnacle Midlands Health Network since 2011 in a number of roles, all which have helped me to grow both personally and professional. Most of my working life I have been in the health field, from receptionist in a social service agency to my current role. I enjoy working with people to get the best outcomes we can, assisting with processes, problem solving or just being an extra pair of hands. I appreciate practice staff welcoming me into their practices, taking the time for me to get to know them and allowing me to provide support in any way that I can.
My partner and I live rurally and between us we have four adult children, his two boys and my two girls. We also have a growing number of grandchildren which are an absolute delight.
