Success for Support to screening – breast and cervical (Waikato)

More than 600 women have been successfully supported to screening/treatment over the last 12 months. Referrals from our practices have been a significant contributing factor to this, thank you for trusting us with your wāhine/women.

Our Support to screening mobile nurses, Cindy Tawa and Tracey Bates, are hugely passionate about the work they do.

"Our main point of difference is our ability to jump in a car, knock on a door and screen there and then. Not every visit will result in screening, but when it does it is so rewarding. We see it as a privilege to be out in the community screening wāhine who need it most."

Some of the things screened women have said of the service include "if you had not come, I would not have had it done", "really - you can do this at my home?" and "that was easy - I won't leave it so long next time".
